Purposeful Pages

Hello everyone! Sorry for not posting in awhile, but life has been crazy! (Prayers would be appreciated!)

Today’s post is a link-up from my friend Amanda’s blog. It’s basically a link-up for Christians to do and answer good questions and the such.

purposeful-pages-memePurposeful Pages is a monthly link-up designed to unite bloggers on answering questions about life, blogging, the Bible, writing, and books.

If you’d like to know when it is, Purposeful Pages is live on the first Saturday of every month for you to jump in whenever you want, until the next set of questions is up. Anyone can join at any time.

(Click on the picture to take you there!)

Question One // What book of the Bible has taught you the most this month?

This month I finished Isaiah and am currently reading Jeremiah (Yep, I’m reading through the Bible…). As much as I thought that I’d like these two books, so far they’ve been a bit … boring. (And that’s coming from the girl who loves Leviticus.) But Isaiah has some pretty cool verses in it.

Question Two // How would you react if you were in the positions of either Esther, if you’re a girl, or Daniel, if you’re a guy?

I’d probably have a melt down…

I would like to think that I’d do what’d needed to be done, but I honestly don’t know if I would or not.

Question Three // If you could have a book character for a sibling, who would it be, and what makes you two alike?

That’s a REALLY hard question… But maybe Bonnie from Dragons in Our Midst by Bryan Davis.

And we’re not really alike (that’s probably why I’d want her as a sibling).

Question Four // If you’re a novelist, answer: How would your main character most likely spend his or her Friday night? If you’re not a novelist, answer: How would you most likely spend your Friday night?

I’m just gonna go with my MC Sawyer since he’s actually in the time period that they have Fridays.

He’d probably be hanging out with his cousin watching a movie or playing a video game while she read.

And I spend my Fridays going to bed at 9 or 10 and reading. (I can barely stay up past 11.)

Question Five // What are the top three books you’re just dying to read?

The Bible (I’m about half-way … I’m excited to read the rest!);

A Time to Rise by Nadine Brandes (mostly because I just got an email about signing up for the blog tour…);

and

The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis (I haven’t read this book (or, I’ve only listened to the audiobook) in years, and I just recently bought it since I’m rereading the whole series … and ack! I’m prepared for emotions galore!).

Question Six // Can you briefly share the story behind your blog’s name?

Well … I think that it’s pretty self-explanatory. And, I wasn’t one of the founders, so…

Question Seven // What do you consider to be your blog’s “branding,” or signature? What sets your blog or social media platform apart from others?

There’s a bunch of us girls and we post about Christianly kinda things and, yep.

Question Eight // Who are a few of your favorite bloggers?

Cait @PaperFury

Rosey @WriteFury

Nadine Brandes @NadineBrandes

Simi @Simizat

And a ton more!

Question Nine // If you could go on a road trip of your dreams, where would you go and who would you spend time with?

I’d go to Alaska. A few years ago, my grandparents drove there from IN and worked at a missions place in Alaska for a few weeks, and it sounded amazing! (Especially when camping.) And, I hate to say it, but I’d be perfectly fine going alone or with my family.

Question Ten // Using five words or less, tell a story.

The dragon killed them all.
