Haaaapy Thursday guys!
I mentioned in my last post that it’s nice to be nice, and that’s what this post it’s about.
It may seem cliche, but it really is better to give than to receive. It’s a great feeling to serve others, to know that you’ve made someone’s day a little brighter. Random acts of kindness can be so small, but they mean so much. I’ve done quite a few service projects over the past few years, and I’ve really enjoyed them. They can be quite fun, and I love knowing that I’m helping someone. Jesus calls us to serve others, to be the light of the world. It’s easy to stand by and do nothing, to assume that someone else is gonna do the work. But what good is that gonna do? It’s also really easy to work for attention, to only want to do the right thing to make yourself look better. That’s wrong too! Do everything you do for Jesus.
Be a blessing at every possible oppotunity. It might not be easy, it might seem ‘weird’ or ‘unusual’, and you may not ‘feel like it’, but it’s a wonderful thing to do. . If you like what you see then say it! If you see someone struggling with something, maybe you could offer to help. If one of your friends is upset and really wants to talk to you, then listen. You never know how much it might mean to them.
It is better to give than to receive.
to GOD be the glory
