Science and the Bible

I wanted to post some cool things about the amazing Creator we have who made the creation we see around us.

How many of you all like ice cream? If you do, then you will be sure to enjoy this little paragraph I wrote on my blogย about vanilla. The vanilla plant is actually an orchid found in Mexico. It has a little membrane that covers the part of the orchid that produces the pollen. So that means not just any bee can pollinate it. The coolest part about this orchid is that it only blooms one time out of the whole entire year, and it stays open for 8-12 hours; after that it will start to wither. But God fashioned a certain bee, the Mexican Melipona Bee, (which, by the way, doesn’t have a stinger) to know when to fly to the orchid on the morning that it is opened, lift up the little membrane, and collect the pollen. ย And only that bee can do it. Isn’t that just incredible?! Oh, and once it’s pollinated, the orchid produces a vanilla bean.

Here’s a marvelous animal which God remarkably designed. The Penguin.
After the female penguin leaves her mate, who has the egg sitting on his feet to keep it warm, she goes and fills up on food. She holds food in her stomach to give her baby after it hatches, and scientists aren’t even sure how she does it without the food decaying. God designed them to do what they do and they do it well. ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Anyway, after she’s does eating, she goes back to the pack of male penguins, who are all waiting for their mate to come back. There are thousands of penguins all standing together, and using her call/whistle, she can find her mate out of thousands of others!!!! And here’s something cool: the baby penguin usually hatches on the day the mom gets back. ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t that just prodigious?!!!

There is an extremely cool video called How Great is our God!! Go on my blog to watch it.ย creatingpreciousmoments.blogspot.com It would be perfect to watch as a family and I highly recommend it, even though it is a little long. It’s just incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here’s 2 quiz questions for you all: 1.) Which mammal has the strongest immune system?ย
ย 2.) Which bird has the strongest immune system?ย Leave a comment and tell me what you think it is, and then click on this link: creatingpreciousmoments.blogspot.com to see if you’re right, and then comment back and tell me if your answer was correct. ๐Ÿ™‚

In 2 weeks, I am going to have an exciting announcement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So check back to see what it is!!!!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a godly day!

      2. Heheheeh. Good guess. The mammal with the strongest is the manatee, and the bird with the strongest is the ostrich.

      4. Thanks! My computer is actually blocking the video though because we have a kid safety thing on our computer so everyone can do research on the computer without any inappropriate popping up. I’m not sure why it’s blocking it though;maybe youtube isn’t allowed. ๐Ÿ™‚
