I LOOVE it and highly recommend it to all. 🙂 It’s all about the true meaning of beauty. It’s not about being stick thin, it’s not about flawless hair- it’s about your heart.
It’s so easy to compare ourselves to others. I know I do that. It’s so easy to think ‘if only….’- if only I had clear skin, if only I had pretty eyes, if only I was skinnier….
But God made you just how you are.
You are beautiful in His sight, and it hurts Him when we criticize our appearance. Sometimes we forget that He made us, we are one of His precious creations.
Inner beauty really does shine through. It may be cliche, but it’s so true. We were discussing yesterday about how the Bible give sooo many countless examples of what inner beauty consists of:
“but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious” 1 Peter 3:4
“She opens her hand to the poor, and reaches out her hands to the needy” Proverbs 31:20
“Clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience” Colossians 3:12b
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue” Proverbs 31:26
“Charm is deceptive, beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised” Proverbs 31:30
….and so many more!
In a world that surrounds us with cultural ideas of what beauty is believed to be, it’s easy for feel like we don’t measure up. But God makes everything beautiful in His time. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
YOU are beautiful!!
Never forget that you are “fearfully and wonderfully made!!”
Have a lovely day 🙂
